MIC

Minimum Inhibitory Concentration; or generate a value in µg/mL - is the lowest concentration of a chemical that prevents visible growth of a bacterium. Ideal MIC of a novel bacteria would be below 1 µg/mL. Anything larger (eg, 3-4 µg/mL) would result in a physical pill too large to swallow for a patient.
