Frequently Asked Questions:
What if I do want to stop doing soil sampling?
Please kindly send a mail to info@t3biosci.com by giving your name and place of location.
Can I stop soil sampling at any time or do I have notice period? If yes, how long?
You can stop soil sampling at any time, by sending an email to T3 BioScience (see above).
What do I do if I am on holiday, or sick and would not manage to do soil sampling?
No worries! We will wait for your next shipping when back…
Can T3 BioScience request to cease my contribution as an Approved Participant?
Yes, as per above instructions and notes. T3 BioScience has the right to cease at any time and at prior written notice by email or letter the relation with an Approved Participant without notification of reason. Most likely T3 BioScience would end such relation for multiple technical reasons, such as e.g., receiving too many soil samples and its laboratory cannot properly handle the volume of soil samples any longer, soil samples of a specific region/location might produce no new bacteria, or not enough bacteria, or bacteria that are not relevant to T3 BioScience’s research, or T3 BioScience might stop its program for a US state or altogether.
For how long will T3 BioScience do this soil sampling initative?
Depending on the success of the extracting of soil, this initiative might be done between months to multiple years.
What is T3 BioScience using the soil sample for?
T3 BioScience is a young biotech company. Its proclaimed mission is to save human lives from antibiotic resistance. Therefore, most of its scientific research and discovery efforts are focused in identifying new antibiotics from nature. T3 BioScience has its own proprietary methodology to extract bacteria from soil and test if such bacteria from nature could be effective to fight - what is known as Superbugs.
What is a Superbug? How can I learn more about a Superbug?
Please visit our T3 Glossary www.t3biosci.com/glossary/ and our product information. Further, searching the internet you will find many information about Superbugs from various sources.
How many people die from antibiotic resistance each year?
In the US alone, approx. 25,000 people die from antibiotic resistance, or what is often referred to in the media as Superbugs.
Does T3 BioScience research the received soil sampling for commercial reasons?
Yes. T3 BioScience is private company with two foundations as investors. It is the objective - if successful – that one day, one of the many bacteria being extracted from US soil will succeed and eventually become a commercially available drug that will help saving human lives.
How many bacteria has T3 BioScience so far extracted from soil?
Since T3 BioScience started in late 2015, it has extracted more than 30,000 bacteria from soil. So far we are still looking for the right one… Next to soil sampling, we also isolate new bacteria from human tissue - you might want to contribute to this program as well?
